Stamped

Privacy policy

Last updated 16 October 2026. Stamped is a small independent app made in the UK. Questions: hello@stampedapp.co.uk.

The short version. You can use Stamped without an account and we collect nothing about you. If you do create one, we keep what is needed to save your passport. We do not sell your data, show ads, or track you across other apps or websites.

What stays on your phone

What goes to other services

Friend stamps

Each install makes a random 8-character code. If you invite a friend and they open Stamped through your link, we store their code, your code, a scrambled form of their network address (to stop fake sign-ups), and the time. We store no names, emails or locations for this. These records are deleted automatically after 12 months.

Accounts (optional)

You can use Stamped without an account. After your first badge we offer to save your passport with Sign in with Apple or Google.

Anonymous usage counts

Stamped counts how the app is used, for example how many stories are read, which landmarks get badges, and how many people tap a ticket link. Each count is just an event name, a landmark name where relevant, the platform (web, iPhone or Android) and the day. We keep daily totals only. We do not record who you are, your device, your location or your internet address, and the counts cannot be linked back to you. We use Google Maps and Tiqets only as described above, and we do not use advertising or tracking services. You can switch the counts off in Settings.

Support messages

If you send a message through Contact support, we keep the message, your email if you add one, and the device details if you tick the box. We use them only to reply and fix problems, and delete them after 12 months.

Children

Without an account, Stamped collects no personal information, so people of any age can use it. Accounts are for people aged 13 and over, or the minimum age in your country if higher. We do not knowingly create accounts for younger children. If you think we have, email us and we will delete it.

Your rights

Under UK and EU data protection law you can ask to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you. Deleting your account in the app does the last of these immediately. For anything else, email hello@stampedapp.co.uk. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Changing your mind about location

You can turn location off in your phone settings at any time. Stamped still works, without the "near me" features.

Changes

If Stamped changes what it does with information, we will update this page and the date above.
